2011 Ride Machete and 2011 Ride Delta Movement Bindings Review
Rock Out With Your Pop Out
The Machete feature list.
LowRize™ Rocker – With a nearly flat profile between the feet, the rocker begins at the extended blend zone to lift the contact points out of the snow just enough to give you the ultimate hook-free, smooth Ride without sacrificing pop when hitting the park.
Carbon Array 3™ – This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.
NEW! Pop Rods® 1.0 – Ride’s Pop Rods® give already fun and playful boards the added liveliness to set them apart from the competition. Using strategic placement in the tip and tail, this technology adds pop without the stiffness generally associated with snappy boards. Made up of flat carbon rods that wrap a urethane slime-core, Pop Rods® have carbon for massive pop and a slime-core to smooth out the landing.
The 2011 Ride Machete is just a fun board to ride all day in the park. The Machete uses Ride’s Lowrize rocker to give you that little rocker advantage in the park without adding too much rocker and confusing the ride all together which some rockered park board tend to do. The Machete is a responsive board that won’t leave you wondering where your tip or tail went when you come down hard on landings. Add in the super fun Delta movement bindings and you have a park lovers alternate set-up worth considering to many other higher priced park complete packages.
the Delta Movements are described as – Freestyle Flex At Its Finest
Some of the Delta’s features:
NEW! Stealth Highback – Perfectly designed lightweight freestyle performance. Larger flat-back shaping built with thinner construction and maximum side-to-side flex.
New! 3D ThinGrip™ Toe Strap – For better fit and better grip, this new 3D ThinGrip™ offers a new flip-lever tool-less adjust.
Wedgie 2.5 Footbed w/ Smooth Ride Landing Pads – The ideal angle for advanced freestyle riders looking for that extra pop. If you are riding a rocker board, you’ll especially appreciate getting some added pop with 2.5.
These bindings are simply fun to ride. The top 1/2 highback has a soft feel which in my opinion gives a more playful feel while having stiffer lower 1/2 you still have response when needed. Add in the ability to adjust them on the fly and tweak then you your boot needs you have a binder that should not be overlooked for 2011.

as a fan of rockered boards Ive been intrigued by the machete since it debut last year. rockered boards that can hold an edge and pop are the most fun imo. will probably be picking this one up this season. thx for the early review!
